BEng Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics

BEng Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics

About the Degree

Our Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering programme is a multidisciplinary degree that provide students with a wider range of knowledge and practical skills for a dynamic and evolving field. This degree offers a comprehensive introduction to Engineering, giving our students the flexibility to work in a broad range of industries. In this multidisciplinary degree, you will learn the fundamental skills and knowledge of a modern engineer from mechanics, thermodynamics, design, manufacturing to materials science. Our courses are designed to meet industry needs with accreditation from many professional bodies including Tech Partnership and the Institute of Engineering and Technology. The students get the chance to learn mechanical engineering and mechatronics subjects in core modules that balance laboratory activities with the relevant, supportive theoretical knowledge.

Why this programme?

  • As a UH-GAF student you will have access to the University of Hertfordshire’s StudyNet web-based facility, which allows students to access electronic teaching and learning resources from UH in the UK and have online discussions with faculties and students.
  • The School is ranked 2nd in the East of England (after Cambridge) for Mechanical Engineering (2023 Complete University Guide).
