The Pharmaceutical Science degree is the only one of its kind in Egypt. Pharmaceutical scientists play a vital role in the development of new medicines and vaccines, and in transforming patients' lives. The Pharmaceutical Science programme is designed to equip its graduates with the knowledge and technical skills required to fulfill the needs of the biopharmaceutical industry. Spanning the worlds of chemistry and biology, the programme focuses on drug discovery, development, and analysis.

The programme begins with a foundation of basic sciences (chemistry, biology, human anatomy, and physiology), then progresses to advanced applied science, including aspects of drug design, formulation development, manufacturing, quality assurance, clinical testing, and regulatory compliance. Progression Requirements: From IFP to Level 4

Students are expected to meet the following requirements in the International Foundation Programme (IFP) to progress to Level 4.
  1. Achieve a grade of 60% in Advanced Chemistry.
  2. Achieve a grade of 40% in all other modules.

What i will study?

The modules you will study include Biology and Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Human Physiology with Pharmacology.

They will also be equipped to enter the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors in a variety of disciplines, including formulation science, analytical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and regulatory affairs.

Transferring from Pharmaceutical Science to MPharm Academic Terms and Conditions:

  1. In order to transfer from Pharmaceutical Science to level 5 MPharm, you must complete IFP and then pass all level 4 Pharm Sci modules.
  2. In addition, you must pass an English test prepared by the English Academic Skills Center with a score equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band.
  3. You are only eligible to sit for the English test after passing all level 4 Pharm Sci modules.
